1. Find things in all your apps with one search

The biggest advantage of Curiosity over other searches like Windows Search or Spotlight is that it lets you search not just on your computer, but in all your cloud apps as well.

That means you can do one search and find everything on Dropbox, Google Drive, Gmail, Slack, and more. That’s pretty powerful!

2. Search from anywhere with the command bar

The starting point of any search is the command bar. Hitting Alt + Space opens it from anywhere and lets you directly type your search. You can also use it to filter your results, do calculations, or even create new documents.

3. Filter your results using natural language

Sometimes when you search for something, you’ll get lots of results. For those cases, Curiosity lets you fine-tune your results using filters.

To use filters you can just type using natural language. When you see the filter, hit Tab to activate it.

You can filter by:

• File type, e.g. pdfs, sheets, documents

• Source, e.g. dropbox, slack

• Time, e.g. last month, August 2021

You can also filter people or companies, e.g. John Doe, Acme Corp. That will give you documents and messages related to them in your email or messaging apps.

4. Don’t stop at file names: Search file contents

When you’re looking for something, it can be difficult to remember what the file was called. It can become quite a guessing game, especially if it’s an old file or if someone else created it.

Now you don’t have to worry about that any more: Curiosity lets you search inside the file’s text. It also handles zip files, email attachments, and even scanned pdfs.

5. Get your contacts organised in one place

What was that person’s name again? And did they send the file by email or Slack? When you interact with lots of different people and organisations, keeping track of them can be a challenge.
