You know how you often need to quickly search something on the internet? And every single time you have to pull up a browser and type a search query or a web address? Not any more!

With Curiosity you can now search popular web sources by hitting Alt+Space.

Supported Sources

As of writing, we support the following web sources (in addition to local files, mail and cloud apps):

• 🔍 Internet search: Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo!

• 🌎 Maps: Google Maps, Bing Maps, Here Maps

• 👥 Social media: LinkedIn, YouTube

• 🎓 Academic sources: Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, Semantic Scholar, PubMed, arXiv

• 📚 Reference: Wikipedia, Stack Overflow, Wolfram Alpha

• 😃 Other: XCKD comics

How to search web sources with Curiosity

Setting up a web search is simple: Go to Apps & Files and click on the website you want to search. Done! 🎉

To search the website from the Curiosity command bar:

• Hit Alt + Space to open the search bar (Mac: Option + Space)

• Start typing the name of the app (e.g. Wikipedia) and hit Tab to select it

• Type your search and hit Enter
