The challenge
An investigation arrives as a pile of material in whatever formats it happened to be stored in. Email archives are the hard case: large, awkward to open, and exactly where the relevant sentence usually is.

What was built
Curiosity indexes the archive formats directly, including PST email archives, and makes the whole body of material searchable as one thing rather than as a set of files to open in turn.

The impact
Researchers search the corpus the way they would search the web, and the integrations mean new material joins the same index rather than becoming another pile.
